Beginning later this year, Premium Spotify subscribers will be able to upgrade their sound quality to Spotify HiFi and listen to their favorite songs the way artists intended. Spotify HiFi will deliver music in CD-quality, lossless audio format to your device and Spotify Connect-enabled speakers, which means listeners will be able to experience more depth and clarity while enjoying their favorite tracks. Spotify is working with some of the world’s biggest speaker manufacturers to make Spotify HiFi accessible to as many fans as possible through Spotify Connect. Spotify HiFi will be rolling out in select markets later this year. As soon as more details are available, we will report it here!
Spotify is a little late to the lossless audio quality game but they are still welcome. The most recent streaming service to offer lossless quality was Amazon Music, joining the ranks of Tidal and Qobuz. It is unknown as of yet if Spotify HiFi will also support High Resolution 24-Bit quality in addition to 16-Bit CD-quality.
