While not officially announced yet, sources are reporting Sony plans to shut down the PlayStation Store for PS3, PSP, and PS Vita this Summer. PSP’s and PS3’s stores are to be closed on July 2, while the PS Vita store will stay open until August 27. After those dates, you will no longer be able to purchase digital copies of games or DLC for these systems. Sony is expected to announce these closures later in the month. Make sure to access the PS Store and download any games for these platforms before you lose access. This article will be updated when officailly confirmed by Sony.
